EchoLink connector

../../_images/echolink.png

You can use this connector to connect to the EchoLink network.

A valid EchoLink user account is required to use this connector. See the registration/validation instructions on echolink.org.

The callsign is taken from the device owner information’s callsign setting. Enter the EchoLink account password for your callsign at the EchoLink user password field.

Note

The easiest way is to use the Quick Setup menu on the device or the Quick Setup page on the web interface to set up this connector.

Important

  • The M1KE does not accept incoming EchoLink connections. It can only connect to other EchoLink servers.

Proxy servers

The EchoLink network requires that each client has a unique internet IP address. If your internet service provider uses Carrier Grade NAT (you don’t have a unique public IP address) or you have connectivity issues, then enable the Use proxy server option.

If the Auto select proxy server option is enabled, the device will try to find the nearest available EchoLink proxy server automatically.
